The SLX derailleur offers a very similar level of performance to the XT model but uses a steel cage rather than aluminium. This keeps the cost down a bit and adds a measly 52g in weight.

SHADOW RD+ technology provides sharp and silky shifts along with chain stability and a reduction in chain slap thanks to to the clutch system.
